世界のチベット亡命政権代表部事務所一覧
宗教･文化省の任務は、チベット祖国で絶滅の危機に瀕している精神的、文化的遺産を保存し発展させることにある。
過去40年間亡命下にあるチベット人社会では、200以上の僧院・尼僧院が設立され、20,000人以上の僧・尼僧が在籍している。宗教･文化省は、このような文化的団体を支援している。また、世界中にある仏教の主要な拠点とも密接な交流を図っている。様々な交換プログラムの計画と実行や、宗教的・文化的出版物の発行も、宗教・文化省の任務の1つ。
僧院・尼僧院以外にも、チベットの精神的，世俗的双方の伝統を研究する文化的な組織がある。このような組織には、インド政府から資金融資を受けている自主運営組織もあるが、宗教・文化省が資金を投入し直接運営に携わる組織もある。
