Brief content of the Public talk　”Compassion – The Key to Happiness”

Looking at various means of developing compassion, I think empathy is an important factor: the ability to appreciate others’ suffering. Cultivating a close, warm-hearted feeling for others is the ultimate source of success in life.

A compassionate person creates a warm, relaxed atmosphere of welcome and understanding around him. Warm-heartedness is the key factor that allows me to smile and be happy, even in the company of strangers.

Compassion is a marvel of human nature, a precious inner resource, and the foundations of our well-being and the harmony of our societies. It is clear that feelings of love, affection, closeness, and compassion bring happiness.

Do not miss the gem of teachings of His Holiness the Dalai Lama on compassion.
