His Holiness the Dalai Lama will give for the first time ever in Japan, a four-day teaching based on the text by Shantideva’s “A Guide to the Bodhisattva’s Way of Life” (Chodjug). As His Holiness often says, to practice the Bodhisattva’s way of life; a path to enlightenment, one has to cultivate a spirit of altruism – the essence of Bodhisattva – that bring happiness to all. Long celebrated and practiced in India and Tibet, we wish to bring you the opportunity to open your heart to Shantideva’s noble and poetic spiritualism, and study ancient Buddhist wisdom carried through to the present day. His Holiness will also confer a Manjushiri Empowerment on the last day.
